PROTECT YOUR HOME, PROTECT YOUR LEGACY

Welcome to the SN52 Land and Legacy Project. We're dedicated to empowering families in Super Neighborhood 52, Houston, Texas, by addressing heirs' property challenges and safeguarding generational homeownership. Discover how we're working to protect family homes, resolve legal barriers, and build a stronger community together.

Our mission

The mission of the SN52 Land and Legacy Project is to preserve generational homeownership and protect family land in Kashmere Gardens by helping residents resolve heirs’ property challenges, secure clear ownership of their homes, and access the legal, financial, and housing resources needed to maintain long-term housing stability. Through community partnerships, outreach, and coordinated legal support, the project works to strengthen neighborhood stability and prevent displacement.

Why it matters

Many homes in Kashmere Gardens have been passed down through generations without clear legal ownership, a situation known as heirs’ property. Without clear title, families may struggle to access homestead exemptions, disaster relief, insurance, or other protections that help homeowners maintain their property. The SN52 Land and Legacy Project works to connect residents with legal and housing resources that help secure ownership, protect family homes, and preserve generational wealth for future generations.

How We Can Help

Step 1:
Learn about your property situation, including ownership status, heirs’ property risks, and your legal rights as a homeowner or family member.

Step 2:
Connect with trusted legal, housing, and community partners who can guide you through next steps, answer questions, and provide the support you need.

Step 3:
Take action to secure ownership, access available resources, reduce financial and legal risks, and protect your home for future generations.
